In the city of Cagayan de Oro, Philippines lives one of the well known cosplayers in the person of Stephen Allen Gacho. Known to his friends as “Kookee”, happy-go-lucky Stephen unexpectedly rocked the cosplay scene when he crossplayed STR from Black Rock Shooter. Asgard ambushed this highly versatile cosplayer for a one-on-one interview.

Asgard: Tell us how your cosplay life began?

The Civic Center was nearly packed with students who came to see the first ever formal cosplay event that Liceo de Cagayan University hosted. Held during the Philippine-Japan Friendship month, the cosplay event was organized by the IS students and the presence of more than 20 cosplayers aided in making the event a success.

On July 6, 2012, the populace of Capitol University errupted in cheers and excited screaming as six costume clad figures performed on stage for their college assembly. When Pinoy Big Brother Teen Edition Season 4 host Toni Gonzaga announced Myrtle Abigail Sarrosa as the Teen Big Winner, the crowd went wild. The 18-year-old, hailing from the province of Ilo-Ilo, was beside herself with happiness as she was traveled through the crowd in her carriage, shouting words of thanks through the crowd.
