Mahou Shoujo Ore – Because Magical Girls Are Too Mainstream
Magical girls (魔法少女) have already staked their claim on the anime/manga genres with Sailor Moon (セーラームーン) from Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon (美少女戦士セーラームーン), Sakura Kinomoto (木之本 さくら) from Card Captor Sakura (カードキャプターさくら) and Madoka Kaname (鹿目 まどか) from Puella Magi Madoka Magica (魔法少女まどか☆マギカ) just to name a few famous faces of the said genre. Yuu Watase (渡瀬 悠宇), the name behind the legendary series Fushigi Yuugi (ふしぎ遊戯) and Ayashi No Ceres (妖しのセレ), has made an announced via her personal blog last July 5 that she will be resuming her shonen manga, Arata the Legend (アラタカンガタリ 〜革神語), this fall. That’s not all! Watase has also included in the announcement that the fourth volume of the series’s deluxe edition will also be released simultaneously with the manga’s return. 
June 3, 2014 was a big day for Narumi Hasegaki (長谷垣 なるみ) as Tonegawa Ririka’s Laboratory (利根川りりかの実験室) was published in Kodansha’s (株式会社講談社) monthly shojo manga magazine, Nakayoshi (なかよし). Tonegawa Ririka’s Laboratory is the manga she has worked together with Aoyagi Aito (青柳碧人). Hasegaki did the illustrations while Aoyagi was responsible for the story.

Look at what we have here! Bakuman (バクマン。) is getting a live action take scheduled for 2015 and it features not one but two of the Rurouni Kenshin (るろうに剣心 -明治剣客浪漫譚-) live-action stars! Takeru Satoh (佐藤 健) who played Kenshin Himura (緋村 剣心) and Ryunosuke Kamiki (神木 隆之介) who filled in the shoes for Sojiro Seta (瀬田 宗次郎), trade their swords for pens as Bakuman’s Moritaka Mashiro (真城 最高) and Akito Takagi (高木 秋人) respectively.
