The Asgard Anime In the News spotlight falls on our favorite video game company this week. Nintendo (任天堂株式会社) has given us the most unforgettable faces and games, namely Pokemon (ポケットモンスター), Super Mario Bros. (スーパーマリオブラザーズ), and Donkey Kong (ドンキーコング) which are going to be featured in Nintendo In the News.

The official website for the Majestic Prince anime series project has just revealed that the show will premiere on April 4, Thursday, at a 10:30 p.m. timeslot on Tokyo MX. Created by Rando Ayamine and Hikaru Niijima, Majestic Prince is a mecha-inspired series set on space. In the latter half of the 21st century, humans have the capability to leave the earth and begin to live in the outer space. However, this new venture imposes them to adapt to this foreign environment and deal with hostile aliens from the other planets. Keep Reading

Hajime Isayama’s Shingeki no Kyojin (Attack on Titans) is slated for its own anime series. The official website for the television anime project has just revealed cast members and staff on Friday. Along with the original characters for the series, they have added Yoshimasa Hosoya as Reiner Braun, Tomoshisa Hashizume as Bertolt Hoover, Saki Fujita as Ymir and Keiji Fujiwara as Hannes. Manga artist Fukuda Hiroshi’s (福田 宏) 2011 manga entitled Joujuu Senjin!! Mushibugyo (常住戦陣!! ムシブギョー 虫奉行) is getting an anime adaptation and a lot of great things to happen are expected from the series; the cast and crew alone are enough to garner praises.

The series is directed by Takayuki Hamana (浜名 孝行), the same person who directed The Prince of Tennis (テニスの王子様) and Idaten Jump (IDATEN翔), and is produced by Seven Arcs (株式会社セブン・アークス). Keep Reading
