Boys Be… Latest Season Is Now A Seinen Manga

Boys BeRemember when Boys Be… (ボーイズ・ビー) used to set young girls (and maybe even boys) screaming from all the candy coated, sugar sweet moments? Now Boys Be… is all grown up and is now set as a seinen manga. Seinen manga (青年漫画) is a genre of manga targeted for an older male audience in which the age bracket is from 18-30 years old but can also be beyond that.

Created and written by Masahiro Itabashi and illustrated by Hiroyuki Tamakoshi, Boys Be began as a manga published by Kodansha in 1991. Keep Reading

Arisa Manga To Be Concluded This September

Arisa Volume 1Mangaka Natsumi Ando has announced that she will be ending her shoujo manga Arisa in the September Issue of the Kodansha’s Nakayoshi magazine. Ando has launched this manga in Nakayoshi in December 2008, to which Kodansha has published the 10th book volume of the title past April. This story is based on the historical novel created by the great writer Shuugorou Yamamoto, whose plot follows a young carpenter who cares for children, orphaned by a tragedy which struck their community.
