Cast for Library War Live Action Film Revealed

The live action adaptation for the anime project Library War has revealed a stellar cast for its film feature. Chiaki Kuriyama, Koji Ishizaka, Kei Tanaka, Jun Hashimoto, Nomi Nishida, and Sota Fukushi joins popular V6 Idol group member Junichi Okada and Nana Eikura in the said film. Eiichiro Oda Adds Rurouni Kenshin To His List Of Tributes

You may have probably known Eiichiro Oda (尾田 栄一郎) because of the hit anime/manga franchise, One Piece (ワンピース). What you may have probably missed out is the fact that Oda, 37, once worked as an assistant for Nobuhiro Watsuki (和月 伸宏) who was working on Rurouni Kenshin (るろうに剣心) at that time. The then 19-year-old Oda inspired and was credited for the creation of Rurouni Kenshin antagonist, Kamatari Honjo (本条 鎌足). Monkey Punch Inspired Characters in Ginroku Gijinden Roman Anime

Nippon Columbia, a music company, has recently revealed more details about a new animation in the works. On Thursday, the company discloses that Ginroku Gijinden Roman, a popular pachinko game that has the original designs by Lupin III artist Monkey Punch, will be having its own television anime series and will hit the local small-screen on January 7, 2013.

Kuroko’s Basketball Receives Threats; Planned Doujinshi Event Cancelled

The planned Kuroko’s Basketball (黒子のバスケ) Doujinshi event set by Japanese even organizing company Youmedia has announced that they have cancelled the Kansai Only Festa 2012 Autumn Part 2 as requested by the local police. Everything related to Kuroko’s Basketball has been receiving threats of one form to another including letters and dangerous substances.

Akira Toriyama Provides Doodles For Japanese Nu Metal Band

If you don’t know Akira Toriyama (鳥山 明,), then you don’t know Dragon Ball (ドラゴンボール). The legendary manga artist that gave us Son Goku (孫 悟空) and the rest of the Z Warriors met up with Japanese nu metal band, Maximum The Hormone (マキシマムザホルモン), at Electric Lady Land in Nagoya, Japan last October 29, 2012.
