Natsume Yujin-Cho Sweets Now Offered In Family Mart
Japanese convenience store chain FamilyMart (ファミリーマート) certainly knows how to tickle the fancy out of anime and manga fans alike! The latest addition to the FamilyMart anime-inspired goodies is Natsume Yujin-Cho (夏目友人帳), otherwise known as Natsume’s Book of Friends.
Since January 8, FamilyMart has been offering Manju (饅頭), Dango (団子) in three different colors and even doughnuts. A Manju is one of the most popular sweets in Japan. It is a bun with a filling made out of red bean paste. Keep Reading




Manga creator Shunju Aono, known for his works in I’ll Give It My All… Tomorrow, will be launching a new series. Titled Ore wa Motto Honki Dashitenai Dake, this new story will be included in the new manga lineup by Shogakukan’s Monthly Ikki. As announced on December 25, Ore wa Motto Honki Dashitenai Dake will be launched on the February 2013 issue of the magazine, along with Yasuto Miura’s Hakka Shojo manga in the same issue. 

Fans of the slice-of-life and coming-of-age anime series, Hanasaku Iroha (花咲くいろは), are in for a treat! Hanasaku Iroha ~ Blossoms for Tomorrow will be released in a special DVD/Blu-Ray set thanks to NIS America.
