Anime Adaptation of Light Novel Kokoro Connect To Air this Spring

Kokoro ConnectWritten by Sadanatsu Anda and illustrated by Yukiko Horiguchi / Shiromizakana, light novel series Kokoro Connect (ココロコネクト) is set to hit Japan’s local television this coming spring.

As highlighted in the stage event at the Anime Contents Expo, a promotional video was released, hinting about the new animation series which will be aired during summer. Shoko Nakagawa Lends Her Voice In Saint Seiya Omega

Shoko NakagawaFamous Japanese celebrity, Shoko Nakagawa, was chosen to be part of a team of talented voice actors in the anime Saint Seiya Omega. In the latest Saint Seiya anime, Nakagawa takes on the role of Saori Kido. Kido is the reincarnation of the goddess Athena, as well as the foster mother of the main character, Kouga.

Nakagawa, 26, is no stranger to anime and otaku culture. Best known for hosting weekend Pokemon show “Pokemon Sunday”, this Super Sentai fan also loves to cosplay and has cosplayed characters from Sailor Moon, Neon Genesis Evangelion, Final Fantasy and even Dragon Ball. Keep Reading

TV Asahi Streams Teaser From the New World Novel Adaptation

Local Japanese Television Network TV Asahi started streaming the prelude teaser for the anime series adaptation of the novel From the New World by Yusuke Kishi. This trailer features the breathtaking art and production, along with the comments from the producer Yutaka Oomatsu (Night Raid 1931, Blood+) and series composition director Masashi Sogo (Gantz, Bleach). New Mystery Anime Series Hyouka Bound on TV this Spring

Yasuhiro Takemoto, whose name can be associated with directing many epsisodes of the anime Lucky Star, is about to release another animation series this coming spring.

Dubbed as Hyouka, this new story is focused on shonen demographic by attracting them with a mystery plot. Futoshi Nishiya, the genius behind the character designs of Nichijou and The Melancholy of Haruji Suzumiya, collaborates with the rest of the Hyouka team and endows them her unique styling art. Real Rose Named After Popular Shoujo Manga

Keisei Rose Nurseries, located in Chiba, Japan, has produced a new variety of rose named “The Rose of Versailles” or “La Rose de Versailles”, after a popular shoujo manga that originated in the 1970’s.

The Rose of Versailles was created by Riyoko Ikeda. The manga ran from 1972-1973 and has spawned a number adaptations including an anime series, several movies and even musicals.
