It’s just been announced that the famous pirate anime One Piece will be getting a new film set for December 15 this year. The motion picture, entitled “One Piece Film Z“, already has a teaser trailer (see below). The short trailer features Z (Zetto), the strongest enemy the Straw Hat pirate crew has ever faced.

The crew behind the One Piece Film Z has already been announced too. Eiichiro Oda (尾田 栄一郎), the creator of One Piece, will produce the film. Keep Reading

Osamu Tezuka’s little robot wonder, Astro Boy, celebrates his 60th year in the anime and manga industry. And what better way to celebrate than with a collectable figure!

ZCGirl’s ZC World has released their 60th anniversary Astro Boy model. The figure stands at a good 7 inches tall with Astro Boy sitting on top of a box and is made out of sturdy PVC.

Japan’s famous girl band receives the ire of Japanese viewers because of their latest commercial.

From the official annnouncement made by the Broadcasting Ethics & Program Improvement Organization (BPO), the commercial shows the members of AKB48 passing candy from one to another using their mouths. This mouth-to-mouth relay, with lip brushings that could hardly be escaped, alarmed the Japanese populace. Their complaints were summed up to three different points:

Final Fantasy Franchise owner Square Enix has recently revealed that the April Issue of the popular men’s fashion magazine Arena Homme+ will be featuring the male cast in the latest addition to the FF series.

The characters will be dressed to impress, taking off their usual battle clothes into a more luxurious style fit for the contemporary men. Announced in March of the current year, the production company made it official by launching the official website for the series as well as the release of the promotional video, igniting the interest of game players and anime lovers alike.
