01Japanese actor Takeru Satoh will not only be busy with his Rurouni Kenshin Live action sequels, but he has a few other projects in his sleeves. Just recently, a trailer for the live action film adapation of Kotomi Aoki’s manga Kanojo Wa Uso wo Ai Shisugiteru has begun streaming on the film’s official website. Shingeki No Kyojin Sand Sculpture Towers Over Beach In Japan

shingeki no kyojinShingeki no Kyojin (進撃の巨人) celebrates the release of the 11th volume of their manga with a massive Colossal Titan (超大型巨人) sand sculpture.

The sand sculpture was created by Japanese sand sculptor, Hosaka Toshihiko (保坂俊彦). Armed with 80 tons of sand, sand sculpting tools and an immense amount of talent, Toshihiko set out for Enoshima Higashihama beach and came up with a 5.4m x 4.2m x 3m replica of the Colossal Titan conquering a wall complete with attacking soldier on the side. 01Animation production company Studio DEEN has produced a cute anime promotional teaser for the upcoming four-panelled manga I Wanna Be! (Waanabi.jk), offering a video on a DVD made available at Comic Market next month. The manga fosucses on the weekly slice of life series created by Kenichi Kuroi. It narrates the dreams and aspirations of 4 third-year high school girls attending a private school.

Les Miserables Slated for Manga Adaptation

01 - Les MiserablesVictor Hugo’s well-acclaimed novel Les Miserables will soon be adapted into manga, as revealed in the August issue of Shogakukan’s Monthly Shonen Magazine. Just this Friday it was announced that artist Takahiro Arai will be launching a new manga series based on this classic French novel.

It must be noted that Arai has previously drawn a manga adaptation of another popular book, Darren Shan’s Cirque du Freak novel. This manga series ran in Weekly Shonen Sunday magazine, from 2006 to 2009. Keep Reading

Live Action Rurouni Kenshin Films Summer 2014
