Haruna Kawaguchi Leads Cast for Zekyou Gakkyuu

090120_zekkyoIt has been revealed that Ouran High School Host Club’s Haruhi and GTO 2012’s Miyabi will star in the live action adaptation of Emi Ishikawa’s horror manga, Zekyou Gakyuu (Screaming Lessons) made for film. This project will adapt the story “Yomi no Shinjitsu” (Yomi’s Truth) taken from the series’ third volume and the “Ningen Rank” (Human Rank) taken from the story’s eight volume.

The cast includes Alice Hirose, Mayu Matsuoka, Haru and Misuki Yamamoto. Keep Reading

Tsubasa Honda Cast as Lead in 3 AM Dangerous Zone

3am-coverTsubasa Honda lands her first starring role in the live-action drama adaptation of Yoko Nemu’s Gozen 3-ji no Muhochitai, 3 AM Dangerous Zone. A model and a beginner actress, this series will mark Honda’s first lead role. Gozen 3-ji no Muhochitai will be broadcasted only through mobile devices with BeeTV.

Gozen 3-ji no Muhochitai is a manga which trails after the life of a girl named Momoko. Momoko dreams of becoming an illustrator for a big design company. Keep Reading

Takashi Murakami Manga Slated for Live Action Adaptation

PajiTakashi Murakami’s Paji, a manga inspired from true-to-life daily scenes, will be receiving a television live action adaptation. This modest story depicts the life of a 71-year old grandfather, struggling to raise his little 5-year old granddaughter when her parents passed away so early. The 75-year old actor Shirou Itou will star in this heartwarming role and the television series will air this spring.

Gokusen Creator Launches Takadai-ke no Hitobito

The February issue of Shueisha’s Monthly You Magazine has announced on Tuesday that Kozueko Morimoto, known for the titles Gokusen and Deka Wanko, will launch the romantic comedy manga Takadai-ke no Hitobito in the next issue of the magazine on February 15.

Morimoto has already published a one-shot take on Takadai-ke no Hitobito manga in the December 2012 issue. This is made to mark the magazine’s first year as a monthly publication. Keep Reading
