Evangelion In The News: Latest Asuka Figure Offering, A Comic Tribute And Eva Karaoke Rooms
Because the world just can’t seem to get enough of Neon Genesis Evangelion (新世紀エヴァンゲリオン), Asgard’s back to dish out the latest Eva news with Evangelion in the News. This week we have an awesome comic tribute, an Eva karaoke room and a way cool Asuka (アスカ) figure.
Kotobukiya (コトブキヤ) is at it again with their latest Evangelion entry that’s drool-worthy. The Japanese company known for their exquisite figures uploaded photos of over at Facebook over their Ani*Statues series and eye-patch girl Asuka Langley Shikinami (式波・アスカ・ラングレー) of Evangelion 3.0 graces their line which is set for release on July 2013. The Gundam series has spanned generations and is still a favorite among new and old fans. Asgard brings you Gundam In the News, now in its second volume and this week’s news is spearheaded by the awesome Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann (天元突破グレンラガン) tribute art.

On February 2, 2013, Japan (and ultimately, the rest of the world where otakus can be found), celebrated another unique holiday called Twin Tail Day. Like the rest of the otaku holidays (i.e August 1’s Yaoi Day), Twin Tail Day came about from how the days and months are written. February 2, or (2/2) was chosen as the day to celebrate the anime, manga and perhaps even video game girls, who sport the such hair-do.

Japanese girl group, Momoiro Clover Z (ももいろクローバーZ), got a special transformation thanks to Tetsuo Hara (原 哲夫) of the Fist of the North Star (北斗の拳) fame. Hara gladly took on the task of illustrating the cover art for Momoiro Clover Z’s Limited Edition DVD/Blu-Ray set.
