Kotonoha No Niwa Animated Film Slated in First Half of 2013

kotonoha_bgMakoto Shinkai, the renowned director behind Children Who Chase Lost Voices, 5 Centimeters per Second and Voices of a Distant Star, had just announced on Christmas Eve a new anime film project he is creating. This will be another epic animation, the creator says, and Shinkai plans to open the film in the first half of 2013. The planning started this past spring, and the website provides a hint that this will be , “A tale of ‘lonely sadness,’ older than even ‘love’,” as the tagline describes. Keep Reading

Nekomonogatari (Black) Gives Fans Special Treat On New Year’s Eve

You’ve heard that right! Nekomonogatari (Black) 猫物語(黒) has earned an Anime adaptation and will be aired on December 31, 2012!

Nekomonogatari (Black) is part of the Bakemonogatari (化物語) series created by Japanese novelist Nisio Isin (西尾 維新) with Taiwanese illustrator, Vofan, providing the art. Not long after the light novels were released, Bakemonogatari had an Anime adaptation. Nekomonogatari (Black) is the sixth book of Isin’s Monogatari series. Just recently, Aniplex had just streamed a 2nd promotional video teaser for the anime adaptation of the popular Nekomonogatari Series. This story is written by NisiOisin and is divided into various books and chapters. The anime will premiere on the local Japanese television on December 31, from 10:00 OM to 12:00 AM, Japanese time. Perfume Takes On Ending Theme For Latest Doraemon Movie

Fujiko Fujio’s (藤子不二雄) most-loved robot cat with the unfathomably deep pocket full of gadgets is back in Eiga Doraemon: Nobita no Himitsu Dougu Museum and Japanese girl group Perfume (パフューム) is going to sing the latest film’s ending theme!
