Perfume Takes On Ending Theme For Latest Doraemon Movie

Fujiko Fujio’s (藤子不二雄) most-loved robot cat with the unfathomably deep pocket full of gadgets is back in Eiga Doraemon: Nobita no Himitsu Dougu Museum and Japanese girl group Perfume (パフューム) is going to sing the latest film’s ending theme!

Dresden Pictures Gets Thumbs Up For Live Action Take On Studio Ghibli Work

UK based company, Dresden Pictures, has earned the right to recreate a live-action take on Studio Ghibli’s (株式会社スタジオジブリ) film, Grave of the Fireflies (火垂るの墓).

Based on the novel written by Akiyuki Nosaka (野坂 昭如), the Studio Ghibli adaptation of Grave of the Fireflies was both directed and written by Isao Takahata (高畑 勲). Running for 88 minutes, the story takes place in the remaining months of the Second World War and revolves around the lives of siblings Seita (清太) and Setsuko (節子). Keep Reading

Famous Japanese singer Utada Hikaru (宇多田 ヒカル) is back and this time, she’s providing the theme song for the most awaited Evangelion movie, Evangelion: 3.0 You Can (Not) Redo (ヱヴァンゲリヲン新劇場版:Q Quickening).

Utada’s single entitled Sakura Nagashi (桜流し) was used as the latest Evangelion movie’s theme. The song lasts for nearly 5 minutes and is the first song since the singer’s November 2010 song, Goodbye Happiness.
