NHK Radio 1 Starts Most Favorite Anime Heroine Election
This is your chance to vote for your favorite Anime heroine! Japanese radio station NHK Radio 1 is holding an election for “My Most Favorite Anime Heroine” in honor of the network’s 50th anniversary. Pick any Anime heroine, any heroine at all, that’s part of the 50-year NHK history and send your entry in. Currently, NHK’s page boasts Uran from Astro Boy, Rei Ayanami from Neon Genesis Evangelion, Haruhi Suzumiya from the Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya, Madoka Kaname from Puella Magi Madoka Magica and lastl but not the least, Matilda Ajan from Mobile Suit Gundam. It’s every Pokemon fan’s dream come true to own a spankin’ new Pokedex. While a lot of toy Pokedex models brought to us by Nintendo are available, Nintendo is now extending their reach and has brought the Pokedex to Apple systems. The Pokedex For iOS has been released in Japan and it has cool features, among them 3D models similar to that offered in Pokemon 3D on the Nintendo DS.

Japanese entertainment portal, J-Cast, got in contact with Gainax in order to confirm the appearance of the Rei Ayanami plugsuit in the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show 2012 and the response they got was utterly surprising – Gainax was as shocked as the fans were who witnessed the plugsuit. Highly protective of their designs, Gainax will be taking up legal action regarding this issue.

You may have probably known Eiichiro Oda (尾田 栄一郎) because of the hit anime/manga franchise, One Piece (ワンピース). What you may have probably missed out is the fact that Oda, 37, once worked as an assistant for Nobuhiro Watsuki (和月 伸宏) who was working on Rurouni Kenshin (るろうに剣心) at that time. The then 19-year-old Oda inspired and was credited for the creation of Rurouni Kenshin antagonist, Kamatari Honjo (本条 鎌足). Recently, Oda created a Rurouni Kenshin tribute that was not entirely received well with the fans.

Everything related to Kuroko’s Basketball has been receiving threats of one form to another including letters and dangerous substances.
