Crayon Shin-Chan tells the comedic story of 5-year-old Shinnosuke Nohara also known as “Shin-Chan” and his family. The manga began in 1990 with a total of 50 volumes and the anime adaptation of the series has been released since 1992.

Gon Gets An Animated Show

gonLast month, Avex has released a 32-second preview of a new television show called “Gon”. The show is said to have replaced Gintama on April 2, 2012 in the very same timeslot.

To a strong majority of video game players, fans may be familiar with this tiny, orange dinosaur. But what some of them may not know is that Gon first started out as a manga character.

Behind The Scenes Footage Of The Rurouni Kenshin Live-Action Movie Revealed

RurouniFans of the Rurouni Kenshin series are going to be on their toes after watching this behind-the-scenes footage of the live-action film!

The video, almost five minutes long, shows Takeru Sato busting some samurai moves as the feared once feared “Hitokiri Battosai” who is later known as the gentle and often comedic Kenshin Himura. The fight scene shown on the video is reminiscent to the scene found on the Rurouni Kenshin OVA entitled Rurouni Kenshin: Tsuiokuhen (追憶編) on how his x-shaped scar came to be. Keep Reading

Takao Hosoda’s Ame to Yuki Enlists Aoi Miyazaki and Takao Osawa as Cast

Ameto YukiAs announced in the April Issue of the Young Ace Magazine (Kadokawa Shoten Press), Mamoru Hosoda, creator of Summer Wars and the Girl who Leapt through Time will release an anime adaptation of the manga Ōkami Kodomo no Ame to Yuki.

Hosoda, who wrote the original plot as well as the screenplay, will also direct the said animation. This January, the team released a 50-second trailer and announced that the movie will be shown in theaters on July 21 throughout Japan. Keep Reading

Kamen Rider fans and the whole of the Sentai fan community mourn the loss of a great actor. 63-year-old Japanese actor and musician Shigeru Araki passed away on April 14, 2012 at 5:02 pm due to aspergillosis.

He was hospitalized in Tokyo because of pneumonia-like symptoms until it was confirmed that he had aspergillosis. Aspergillosis poses signs similar to that of pneumonia. It is, however, a lung infection or allergic reaction caused by a fungi found in dead leaves, compost or other decaying foliage. Keep Reading
