From Toyota Corolla to Google Chrome and now the world’s biggest soft drink label, Hatsune Miku just keeps raking in different promoters.

The contest started on February 23 and ended on March 12 with the mechanics that Hatsune Miku be clad in the colors associated with Coca-Cola without having to display the company label.

Coca-Cola, with its signature swirly white font fronting a red background, was first made by Dr. John Pemberton on May 8, 1886 with his original syrup and a mixture of carbonated water. Keep Reading

Ozine Fest 2012This coming Friday marks the beginning of Ozine Fest 2012. This three-day event will be held on the fifth floor of the SM Megamall, Megatrade Halls from 10:00 AM to 9:00 PM.

The Ozine Festival is an anime convention organized by a Filipino anime magazine called “Otakuzine Anime Magazine” and is published by PSICOM Publishing, Inc. Shoko Nakagawa Lends Her Voice In Saint Seiya Omega

Shoko NakagawaFamous Japanese celebrity, Shoko Nakagawa, was chosen to be part of a team of talented voice actors in the anime Saint Seiya Omega. In the latest Saint Seiya anime, Nakagawa takes on the role of Saori Kido. Kido is the reincarnation of the goddess Athena, as well as the foster mother of the main character, Kouga.

Nakagawa, 26, is no stranger to anime and otaku culture. Best known for hosting weekend Pokemon show “Pokemon Sunday”, this Super Sentai fan also loves to cosplay and has cosplayed characters from Sailor Moon, Neon Genesis Evangelion, Final Fantasy and even Dragon Ball. Keep Reading

Real Rose Named After Popular Shoujo Manga

Keisei Rose Nurseries, located in Chiba, Japan, has produced a new variety of rose named “The Rose of Versailles” or “La Rose de Versailles”, after a popular shoujo manga that originated in the 1970’s.

The Rose of Versailles was created by Riyoko Ikeda. The manga ran from 1972-1973 and has spawned a number adaptations including an anime series, several movies and even musicals.

Still an ongoing anime and manga series, Naruto is a young ninja who constantly dreams of becoming Hokage.
