Tokyo ESP Manga Green Lit for Animation

Kadokawa ShotenTokyo ESP had just revealed on its website a new project: Hajime Segawa’s Tokyo ESP manga is now under preparation for an anime adaptation. Segawa terms this work as an “afterschool psychic action,” and has launched it in Kadokawa’s Monthly Shounen Ace magazine back in 2010. This is shortly after he has ended The Enchained Spritual Beast Ga-Rei, another supernatural action series. Ga-Rei, which Segawa alternatively termed as the “afterschool spirit hunting action,” inspired the Ga-Rei: Zero television anime series in 2008, in which Funimation has released in North America. l-dkIt has just been revealed that the actress/model Ayame Gouriki will take the lead role of the live-action film adaptation of Ayu Watanabe’s L♥DK manga. The information has been revealed by Kodansha’s Bessatsu Friend magazine last month, with the news of the manga getting its own film adaptation. However, the production has not specified the medium at that time.

Gouriki has played various manga based roles, which will include another character in the Black Butler live action film as Shiori Genpou. Keep Reading

American Live-Action Take On Kite Is Ready

kiteFans of the 1998 Yasuomi Umetsu (梅津 泰臣) adult action anime film entitled Kite (A カイト) will be on their toes with this bit of news. According to Deadline, The Weinstein Co. (TWC) has gained worldwide rights to the American live-action take on Kite. The film has already been finished with director Ralph Ziman (Gangster’s Paradise: Jerusalema, The Zookeeper) who took over the project after director David R.
