RK Live Action News: Shishio Makoto Has Formed The Juppongatana
The latest Rurouni Kenshin ( るろうに剣心 -明治剣客浪漫譚-) live action movie press photo has been released and Tatsuya Fujiwara (藤原 竜也), who plays Shishio Makoto (志々雄 真実), has finally been joined by the Juppongatana (十本刀). With Shishio standing in the middle with his Mugenjin (無限刃) in his hand, the members of the Juppongatana stand and line on either side of him.
In the Rurouni Kenshin universe, the Juppongatana is a group of immensely skilled warriors formed and ruled by Shishio with the objective of overthrowing the Meiji Government. Keep Reading
With Super Sonico’s (すーぱーそに子) very own anime part of the Winter 2013 anime lineup, it’s only fitting to have everyone’s favorite pink-haired hottie shown in and around town. A lot of Super Sonico figures have already been released which portray Sonico in different ways from WAVE’s Beach Queen to Zenko’s sexy traditional Japanese-inspired garage kit. Now, we’ll see Super Sonico as a Racing Queen dressed up as a morbid take on the adorable teddy bear! 
Space Dandy (スペース☆ダンディ), the Dandy Guy In The Space, has yet to be aired but it has inspired a manga series already! Kodansha monthly magazine Sirius (月刊少年シリウス) has announced the good news in their February issue. The Space Dandy manga will be featured under the Wednesday Sirius category over at Nico Nico (ニコニコ).
Hajime Isayama’s (諫山 創) Shingeki no Kyojin (進撃の巨人) has swept the world off its feet with its compelling story of how humanity fights to survive against gigantic humanoid monsters called Titans (巨人) and the anime’s soundtrack makes it even more epic and memorable. Linked Horizon, the Japanese band who took care of the anime’s opening tracks, have released a single entitled Jiyuu E No Shingeki (自由への進撃). If you’re an SnK fan residing in North America, good news! 
Masayuki Ishikawa (石川雅之), creator of Moyashimon (もやしもん), has won a lawsuit filed against director Takashi Kuroki on the grounds of creating a film based on another of Ishikawa’s Kanojo no Kokuhaku (彼女の告白) without the mangaka’s permission.
What better way to promote a manga than to have its very own advertisement made in a way that the characters from the pages come to life?
