Add in a multitude of cosplayers and you get “Comic-Con”.

Comic-con started out small with a total of 500 participants until it became a part of pop culture. Director Morgan Spurlock then came up with the film “Comic-Con Episode IV: A Fan’s Hope”, a documentary that shows the highlights of the San Diego 2010 comic book convention. Keep Reading

Animax Carnival 2012 To Take Place In Malaysia

Animax Carnival 2012 will feature the Cosplay Queen, Alodia Gosiengfiao, as well as Baby Beel from the anime Beelzebub.

Japanese anime channel Animax will hold its first ever anime carnival in Malaysia on March 10 and 11, 2012. This two-day event is jam-packed with fun activities that should keep anime fans constantly on their toes.

On the official Animax website, March 10 will be open solely for Astro customers and cosplayers from 12PM to 6PM. Non-Astro customers have to be in cosplay attire for them to gain entry to the event. Keep Reading

Street Fighter X Tekken Launch Party In Los Angeles

Street Fighter X Tekken is one of the most highly anticipated game of the year and in the light of the event, a launch party will be celebrated on March 1, 2012 in Majestic Hills, Los Angeles.

The game is a crossover between the greatest fighting game titles known: Street Fighter and Tekken. The gameplay will be similar to that of the Tekken Tag Tournament series in which a player has two characters he/she can use and switch in a fight but with the added Street Fighter elements namely the Super Combo and the EX attacks. In honor of the Miku Day celebration on March 8 and 9, 2012, Singapore’s biggest anime/cosplay shop, Otaku House, joins in on the celebration by throwing a contest. On February 23, 2012, Otaku House proudly announced that they would be giving away two original Hatsune Miku dolls.

New GMA 7 Show Sends Cosplayers Into A Frenzy

iBilib host Isabelle Daza with Momoy PalaboyGiant Philippine television network, GMA has released a new TV show entitled “iBilib”. iBilib is an educational program that focuses on science and technology. Although the show aims to attract the audience, the promotional photos of the TV show attracted the different reactions of otakus and cosplayers.
