Sailor Moon Arina TanemuraWith Sailor Moon Crystal (美少女戦士セーラームーン Crystal) out to conquer the whole world once again, famous manga artist Arina Tanemura (種村 有菜) joins in on the Sailor Moon fever and came up with this beautiful tribute art featuring Sailor Moon (セーラームーン) with none other than her Senshi of the Four Guardian Dieties (四守護神の戦士).

Tanemura graced Comiket 85 with her tribute art of last year’s hottest anime hits, Shingeki no Kyojin (進撃の巨人) and Uta no Prince-Sama (うたの☆プリンスさまっ♪). Keep Reading

Talented 17-Year-Old Manga Artist Gets Work Published

Tonegawa Ririka's LaboratoryJune 3, 2014 was a big day for Narumi Hasegaki (長谷垣 なるみ) as Tonegawa Ririka’s Laboratory (利根川りりかの実験室) was published in Kodansha’s (株式会社講談社) monthly shojo manga magazine, Nakayoshi (なかよし). Tonegawa Ririka’s Laboratory is the manga she has worked together with Aoyagi Aito (青柳碧人). Hasegaki did the illustrations while Aoyagi was responsible for the story.

Tonegawa Ririka’s Laboratory’s title is a pun with the words “Lab Story” as a play for the words Love Story. Keep Reading

Eren Jaeger Tries Hand At Singing Hatsune Miku Song

Yuuki KajiEren Jaeger (エレン・イェーガー) goes from hunting Titans (巨人) to singing the Hatsune Miku (初音ミク) hit, Senbonzakura (千本桜)! Or at least his voice actor, Yuuki Kaji (梶 裕貴) does. Kaji has been featured in famous Uttatemita singer, Yuuto’s first album as a duet in the Senbonzakura song and a quick preview of the collaboration has been uploaded on Youtube for everyone to enjoy.

Voice Actress Loses In Final Round Of Otona AKB48 Audition

Takahashi MikakoApril 12, 2014 was a big day for Japanese voice actress and singer Mikako Takahashi (高橋 美佳子). The 33-year-old has joined the audition for Otona AKB48 and has made it to the finals but unfortunately she was not chosen in the final selection meet as announced in her official Twitter account.

“The Otona AKB48 Audition ended smoothly!!” She tweets. “The result was… unfortunately I didn’t make it. (;_;).” The singer, however saw a silver lining in the loss, adding ” But I was able to enjoy it without regret! Keep Reading

Shingeki No Kyojin Art Exhibit Planned For 2014

Shingeki No Kyojin ExhibitOn April 4, 2014, it was officially announced via PR Times Japan that a Shingeki no Kyojin (進撃の巨人) art exhibit will be held at the Ueno Royal Museum. The exhibit will feature Shingeki no Kyojin creator Hajime Isayama’s (諫山 創) original works.

The Shingeki no Kyojin art exhibit will make use of the entire museum and a full program is currently being worked on so if you’re a Shingeki no Kyojin fan, expect something big! Keep Reading
