Anime Invades Local Japanese Karaoke Establishment

anime karaokeDid you know?! Karaoke is a portmanteau word. The words kara, which means empty and okesutora, which means orchestra are mixed together to kara-oke. Karaoke has its origin in Japan in the 1970’s. From that time until now Karaoke is one of the most popular entertainments in whole Japan.

karaoke roomIf you’re a hardcore fan of anime and belting out their songs karaoke-style sounds like fun, then this is just for you! Karaoke no Tetsujin (カラオケの鉄人) has revamped their karaoke rooms to give us the Kadokawa Anime Festival! From October 23 until December 15, two karaoke rooms are decked out completely with anime designs. The first room is covered with Haruhi Suzumiya (涼宮ハルヒ) and Lucky Star (らき☆すた) while the second room is full of the latest anime offerings with Yu-Sibu (勇者になれなかった俺はしぶしぶ就職を決意しました) and Noucome (俺の脳内選択肢が、学園ラブコメを全力で邪魔している).

karaoke drinksIf the anime decorated room isn’t enough to satisfy your anime cravings, don’t forget to check out their bar! Anime-inspired drinks are offered that doesn’t only cover Haruhi, Lucky Star, Yu-Sibu and Noucome alone. There are also drinks inspired by Panty and Stocking with Garterbelt (パンティ&ストッキングwithガーターベルト), Another (アナザー) and Seikai Ichi Hatsukoi (世界一初恋 〜小野寺律の場合〜) just to name a few!
