Shingeki No Kyojin Art Exhibit Planned For 2014
On April 4, 2014, it was officially announced via PR Times Japan that a Shingeki no Kyojin (進撃の巨人) art exhibit will be held at the Ueno Royal Museum. The exhibit will feature Shingeki no Kyojin creator Hajime Isayama’s (諫山 創) original works.
The Shingeki no Kyojin art exhibit will make use of the entire museum and a full program is currently being worked on so if you’re a Shingeki no Kyojin fan, expect something big! “So many programs are underway!” Isayama says. “The people who want to feel sick, and those who want to get excited, Please have a good time!”.
Isayama was born on 1986 in Oita Prefecture, Japan. It was in his high school years that he began joining in manga contests. When he graduated, Isayama enrolled in a manga design program in Kyushu Designer Gakiun. In 2006, Shingeki no Kyojin began as an award winning one-shot manga that would soon make its mark in anime history. Later on, the world famous series was published in Bessatsu Shonen Magazine (別冊少年マガジン) and since then has gained numerous awards including 2011’s Shonen category in the Kodansha Manga Award (講談社漫画賞). Isayama’s other works include 2008’s Heart Break One and 2008’s orz.
The Shingeki no Kyojin exhibit is scheduled for Winter 2014 and more updates are coming your way. Visit the official exhibit website for more details.
