The anime world mourns for the loss of veteran seiyuu, Cheiko Honda (本多 知恵子). The 49-year-old Japanese voice actress lost against her battle with cancer last February 18, 2013. Although Honda plays a lot of minor roles in different anime titles, she was best known for giving life to Elpeo Ple (エルピー・プル) from Mobile Suit Gundam ZZ (機動戦士ガンダムΖΖ).

News has spread that Japanese voice actor, Masakazu Morita (森田 成一), was recently hospitalized with his life on the line. Morita, who is famously known for as the voice of Bleach’s (ブリーチ) Ichigo Kurosaki (黒崎 一護), has reportedly suffered from Anaphylaxis. Anaphylaxis is an extreme allergic reaction that quickly responds after being exposed to a certain allergen.

Japanese girl group, Momoiro Clover Z (ももいろクローバーZ), got a special transformation thanks to Tetsuo Hara (原 哲夫) of the Fist of the North Star (北斗の拳) fame. Hara gladly took on the task of illustrating the cover art for Momoiro Clover Z’s Limited Edition DVD/Blu-Ray set.

If you didn’t know who Katsuya Terada (寺田克也) is, you probably didn’t know that he’s the main man responsible for the lush art of Blood: The Last Vampire. Recently, Terada has been invited by Japan’s National Museum of Emerging Science and Innovation to do a mural for the said museum.
