Unforgettable titles such as Pokemon (ポケットモンスター), Digimon (デジモン) and even Cyber Team in Akihabara (アキハバラ電脳組) all have made us wish that the pets seen in those titles were real. Here comes another pet-themed series that’s different from the rest. Enter Odoriko Clinoppe (踊り子クリノッペ).

Odoriko Clinoppe is the latest anime series inspired by a Japanese mobile game company/social networking site called GREE. Last year’s GREE anime offering was also based on their game entitled Driland (探検ドリランド). Keep Reading

Yozakura Quartet lovers, heads up! By the use of the popular Japanese video sharing site Niconico, the Yozakura Quartet manga creator Suzuhito Yasuda and the cast of this upcoming project has revealed through a live program that a new anime adaptation is coming to the small screen. It must be known that the plot has already been animated in Japan, air on 2008 and is comprised of 12 episodes. Yozakura Quartet is Yasuda’s first manga. Keep Reading

Standing at two-stories tall, an 80-year-old Japanese building now serves as a home and an art gallery at the same time. Asuko Thomas, the person who has occupied the building, had no idea that the house she was staying in had something to do with the great Hayao Miyazaki (宮崎 駿) until only recently.

Thomas, 35, transformed the building into two parts: the first floor holds the art gallery which is designed in Western and Japanese styles. Keep Reading

In the official website for the up and coming shoujo fantasy Pretty Rhythm Rainbow Live anime comes the cast and crew of the project. The details has been launched on Saturday and started streaming the television series’ uberly cute promotional video. Voice actress Emiri Katou narrates the video as Naru Ayase, one of the cast. It also includes the opening theme song of the anime, Prizmmy☆’s cover of TRF’s song “Boy Meets Girl.” Keep Reading

Ittoki Otoya (一十木 音也), the red-head hottie from Uta No Prince-Sama (うたの☆プリンスさまっ♪), will be celebrating his birthday on April 11, but that doesn’t stop Japanese toy company, Kotobukiya, from showing their love for Otoya.

Kotobukiya has proudly displayed this delectable Otoya birthday cake in Akihabara, along with other Otoya collectibles. Kotobukiya also shares the Otoya love with Uta No Prince-Sama fans by putting up a cork board below their display for fans to post their birthday greetings in. Keep Reading
